Somatic Movement for A Calmer Life

Hi, I'm Tiia!

I'm a Somatics Coach, Social Worker, Yoga Teacher, Nutritionist and

soon-to-be accredited therapist!

And yes, I was just like you.

Always in pain somewhere (my joints, my hips, my knees, you name it!), feeling weak and out of breath after doing the bare minimum, and somehow either freezing or sweating, or BOTH (talk about a dysregulated nervous system much!!)

I was stuck in freeze and anxious about it, I was self medicating with food, feeling guilty about it, restricting and over compensating with exercise. I was defensive, incredibly snappy, had zero resilience to any sort of stress and cried all the time.

I see you, and I want you to know you’re safe here.

I believe you, if you say it feels like you'll never change.

I believe you, if you say you've tried everything and nothing works.

I believe you, and I KNOW with every fiber of my being, that there is calm, peace and contentment waiting for you.

I am not here to tell you what to do or assume I know what is right for you.

I'm here to listen, offer a safe space to explore how your own body works and what it finds nourishing, calming and supportive.

Helping to empower YOU to decide if they resonate with you.

This is your journey, your own way.

Your reactions, responses, feelings and patterns aren't happening because anything is wrong with you.

They are happening because everything is right with you and your body is doing everything it can, to keep you safe, with the knowledge that it has.

Our work is to show your body (and not just tell your body) that you are safe to get unstuck.

It's about fostering a sense of safety within yourself.

I hope you'll join me in understanding how all of this is true for you.

We can explore:

how your body works- how do you move?

how your body feels on a day to day basis

address any aches and pains you might have

ensure you're getting the nutrition your body needs

work on your relationship with food (if feels relevant)

find tools to support your anxiety and/or depression

create a movement pattern that nourishes you

and anything else that keeps you from feeling the way you want.
